The artists in this exhibit made these works in the midst of grieving the death of a loved one. Art making became a way of grieving what was painful in the past, what was missed in the present, and what had been hoped for in the future. In creating pieces that share their personal losses, the artists connect with the universal experience on earth, as we mourn and long for the day when death shall be no more.

J. Daniel Graham comes from a family of storytellers who love investigation and creativity. His training in the Arts comes from an Undergraduate Degree at the University of Florida in Printmaking and a Masters Degree from the University of Georgia with the same emphasis. Currently Daniel is a Professor of Art at Georgetown College in Georgetown Kentucky where he teaches a variety of courses including Sculpture, Printmaking, 3D Design, Ceramics and Luthiery. He lives in Georgetown with his wife Holly, his daughter Olive, his son Thatcher, and their dog Cricket. See more of his work at jdgraham.net.
