Join us for the closing reception and gallery talk for Beautiful खूबसूरत on Saturday, September 14th at 7PM in the Midtown Gallery. Naomi Zacharias, Director of Wellspring International, and Jill Carattini, Director of Still Point Arts, will share about their work and this collaborative project.

Naomi Zacharias is the Director of Wellspring International, a humanitarian initiative by Ravi Zacharias International Ministries devoted to helping at-risk women and children across the globe. She has worked with women and children across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Naomi currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jill Carattini is the Director of Still Point Arts, a nonprofit art gallery located within the headquarters of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also the Director of Apologetics, Theology, and the Arts for RZIM and the managing editor of A Slice of Infinity. She holds a degree in religion from Hope College, a master of divinity from Western Theological Seminary, and a ThM from Duke University, where she studied sacramental theology and the arts.

Artist statement from Still Point:

“Witnessing to remarkable beauty in the face of suffering.

Beautiful is a collaborative exhibition featuring photography by Elizabeth Jones and painting by artist Craig Hawkins. With portraiture in multiple media, the intent of this exhibition is to witness to remarkable beauty in the face of suffering. The work captures the faces of women in India who have suffered from painful burns.

Still Point partnered with humanitarian aid organization Wellspring International to honor these remarkable women through art. A full color book of photography and limited-edition prints signed by artist Craig Hawkins also accompany also accompany the exhibit. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales and donations pledged throughout the duration of the exhibit will be designated toward the building of a new surgical burn and treatment center in India.”
